In order to have an effective website, not only do potential customers have to find you using search engines, but once they click-through to your website you need to have a compelling design that engages the customer and delivers your message successfully.
However, a good website is a lot more than just aesthetics.
The entire project starts with discovery. Who are your users, what do they want, and what sorts of features and products will they really use? Defining your user base is the first important step and guides the entire strategic process.
I work with clients who appreciate good project structure and who want to understand how they can use the internet to best reach their business and marketing goals.
Brand Integrity
Your brand is important to the success of your business. If your brand stands on its own and is strong in your market, then you won’t be pushed to make any changes. We work together to enhance your brand strengths and reflect them on your new website. If, however, your brand is not defined or may be weak or nonexistent, we can take the time to develop your brand identity.
Want vs. Need
Most businesses are on a tight budget these days. Utilizing your website as your main marketing tool is a smart decision, but we need to be conscience of your timeline and budget. Your potential customers need to get the information they want as quickly as possible at the same time we need to create a good experience that leaves a positive shopping experience. A lot of clients look at a competitor’s website and say “I want that.” They want the latest and greatest, the fastest, the most innovative. But, they quickly find they don’t have the budget.
With our discovery process we can build a solid foundation on which to add future enhancements.
Content Management System
A content management system (CMS) uses a database to store your websites information. Think of your website as pieces to a puzzle. When you request a link in your navigation, say an About page, the template calls the database for that information and pieces the page together. To update your website you simply login to your website admin area, there you’ll see a dashboard that lists all of your pages, images and side panel information. Simply select the information you wish to edit and publish. It’s a very simple process that gives you the ability to keep your website up-to-date whenever you need it!
